The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino is a resort located on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, United States. It was originally built as a themed hotel with an island-style architecture, inspired by 18th-century pirate ships. The property features over 2,800 rooms and suites, as well as various amenities such as pools, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.
History
The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino first opened its doors in October 1993 under the ownership of Mirage Resorts. It was one of several themed hotels built on the Las Vegas Strip during this time period. The property’s design incorporated casinotreasureisland.ca tropical elements with pirate-themed decor and nautical accents throughout. In 2004, MGM Mirage acquired the Treasure Island Hotel as part of a larger takeover deal.
Renovations
Over the years, the hotel has undergone multiple renovations to update its accommodations, entertainment options, and amenities. One major renovation occurred in 2019, where Treasure Island invested $90 million into upgrading its rooms, restaurants, and public spaces. This included redesigning the hotel’s main entrance, adding new dining venues, and modernizing its gaming areas.
Layout
The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino is laid out across four separate towers: The Tower, The Marina, The Oceanus, and The Palazzo-style building added in 2019. These towers provide a range of accommodations from standard rooms to luxury suites with ocean views or private balconies.
Amenities
One of the main attractions at Treasure Island Hotel is its extensive gaming floor, featuring over 2,700 slot machines as well as numerous table games such as poker and roulette. The property also offers various entertainment options like a theater for live productions, comedy acts, and other performances.
